It's rather hard to believe, but after living in Florida for over 20 years this was the first time we took the Scenic Boat Tour of the Winter Park lakes

Christmas 2011 was at home, and Mike and Rebecca came to visit

Thanksgiving for 2011 was at Joy's house where we also celebrated Joyce's and Pat's 60th Anniversary

Lydia and I were in Rome, Italy for the first week of October 2011 to see her nephew, Jason, be ordinated a transitional deacon at St. Peter's Basilica. It was an amazing week with many activities surrounding Jason's ordination and we also were able to see a lot of the Vatican and ancient Rome.

Lydia's sisters, Lea, Mary and Joy were also there for the week and we also saw a lot of Bishop Boland from the Savannah diocese while there.

In September 2011, we were in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I was there on business and like our trips to Sydney and London, Lydia went with me. Paula and her husband Claudio were fantastic hosts, showing us around Buenos Aires and taking us to several good restaurants. On our last day there we visited the Japanese Garden and Buenos Aires Zoo.

For Labor Day weekend, Sept 2001 we headed off to our favorite weekend getaway, St. Augustine. Christine went with us and we stayed At Journey's End.

In late August 2011 I hosted an offsite with my Support leadershp team at Hard Rock Hotel in Orlando. We had a team building event at Epcot Center one afternoon - it was great fun, although some of the team got quite damp because of late afternoon thunderstorms. The team building event was a scavenger hunt all over Epcot and my team won!

In early August 2011, I was in the UK on business and Lydia went with me. We stayed in London and had a day and a half to see some of the sites. In addition, Lydia met up with Jan (wife of a co-worker of mine) who took her to see Stonehenge and Winchester Cathedral. We had really great weather for the week we were there.

Our trip to the UK in early August was delayed by several hours due to United Airlines messing up my reservation. We visited the Air and Space Museum extension near Dulles Airport and saw a lot of historic planes (e.g. the Enola Gay) as well as planes which were donated to the museum by friends of my parents.

We were back to St. Augustine to celebrate Lydia's birthday, staying again with Cyndi at Cedar House Inn.

In July 2011 we were in Georgia to celebrate Lydia's birthday, and then we went to Augusta to visit Jason and Fr. Mike Roverse. On the way to Augusta we stopped in Macon and met up with Steve and Cindy. The remainder of these pictures are from the Riverwalk which was adjacent to the Marriott where we stayed.

In June 2011 I was in Sydney, Australia on business and Lydia decided to come with me on the trip. We stayed at the Shangri-La hotel on the border of The Rocks by Sydney Harbor. Most days were rainy and cool, but the Friday we left was clear skies.

In early June 2011, we spent a quiet weekend together at the Night Swan B&B in New Smyrna Beach

We went to Lake Eola Park on Memorial Day 2011. The kids loved this park when they were younger, calling it "Swan Park" because of the swans which live there.

For an afternoon we ran off to Gemini Springs - it was very hot but Arwen enjoyed herself.

We went to Nagoya Sushi for my birthday dinner and the chef prepared this incredible sashimi birthday "cake" for me. I've never seen anything like it, and it was awesome!

Patrick and I took my .380 Taurus pistol and .22 Remington target rifle to the range. We didn't take any pictures with my target rifle at the range, but the results weren't too bad since this was the first time I've shot it in 25 years, and without all the usual gear I'd use.

Lydia and I were back to St Augustine (our favorite "weekend get away"), where we stayed at The Cedar House Inn which is absolutely gorgeous!
